Atmosphere

Located in a restored plumbing warehouse, the building has been transformed into 20,000 square feet of creative space. Bright colors, natural light and odd angles create an environment that's light years from the typical corporate cube farm. Great things happen here.

History:

Founded in 1940 as Spitz Advertising and acquired in 2002 by Doug Pinckney, Chris Pinckney and Aaron Hugo, Pinckney Hugo Group can lay claim to being the area's oldest advertising agency—even if we don't quite look the part.

Leadership

Partners:

  • Doug Pinckney

    Doug Pinckney President

Doug knows what it's like to be a client because he's been one. Prior to co-founding Pinckney Hugo Group, he spent nearly two decades in senior marketing positions that took him all over the world. This has given him a unique perspective that allows him to be uncommonly effective in solving marketing challenges. Also, he's pretty good at the golf thing.

  • Aaron Hugo

    Aaron Hugo Executive Vice President

Aaron is our clients' secret weapon. He creates and executes strategies designed to make our clients happy and their competition miserable. With both agency and client-side marketing experience, Aaron has worked on everything from small startups to the biggest brands in the world. In short, he makes things happen.

  • Chris Pinckney

    Chris Pinckney Executive Creative Director

Chris likes to create great work that works. He oversees PHG's award-winning team of creatives in making sure everything our agency does is not only amazing—but effective. Before PHG, Chris worked as a senior creative for agencies in New York and Connecticut. Before that, he carried cement.

Management Team:

  • Kathi Brogan
Kathi Brogan Vice President of Media Services

Kathi oversees the PHG media team in all aspects of the planning, negotiating, buying, and executing process. She's part of a rare demographic that has both client-side and agency experience, including running her own media buying firm for over thirteen years. Actually, she's one of a kind.

  • Colleen O'Mara
Colleen O'Mara Director of Public Relations

Colleen is responsible for overseeing all public relations activities for local and national clients including writing, media relations, social media and the creation of strategic communication plans. Before joining PHG, Colleen worked in communications for the New York State Assembly. She has a master's degree in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a minor in mispronouncing the word "bagel."

  • Cathy Van Order
Cathy Van Order Director of Production Services

Cathy directs the agency's print production department, maintaining all printer relationships, sourcing and estimating related expenses, and negotiating contracts with vendors. She's an authority on sustainable printing and has the certifications and awards to prove it. Now if we could just get her to stop arming Aaron with production terms before client meetings.

  • Adam Jwaskiewicz
Adam Jwaskiewicz Director of Interactive Services

Adam leads the PHG interactive team in all things digital. He works with our developers and designers to create stunning work that pushes the boundaries in technology. He has spent time with agencies in both Washington and New York City, and his experience adds new dimension to everything we do, especially when it comes to speling.

  • Scott McNany
    Scott McNany Associate Creative Director

Whether it's in print or on the air, Scott helps make sure everything we do is compelling, effective and amazing. Originally from New Jersey, Scott has also worked as a creative in Colorado and Vermont, but those places apparently didn't have enough snow for him. He's one of us now.

  • Robyn Jonick
    Robyn Jonick Associate Design Director

Robyn oversees the design and collateral efforts within the agency. Her award winning experience includes everything from identities to trade show booths to coffee table books to corporate brochures to... actually, it would probably be faster to list the things she hasn't designed.
